Patrice Pike has the might of a lion, the playfulness of a puppy, and the sex appeal of a born rock star. Two decades of performing across the globe, Patrice has perfected the art of being natural with a guitar, a microphone, and an adoring audience. Take the musical talents of Steven Tyler, Aretha Franklin, Janis Joplin and Sheryl Crow, throw in skin-art and years of experience, hop on stage, and you have Patrice Pike. It's no wonder Pike won 5 awards in 2007 at the Austin Music Awards; Musician of the Year, Best Rock Band, Best Song (for "Beautiful Thing"), Best Female Vocalist, and was inducted into the Texas Music Hall of Fame. Patrice's youthful energy and undying dedication has led her to appear on stages everywhere, including main-stage appearances at festivals as prestigious and diverse as High Sierra, Kerrville, Strawberry and Austin City Limits. She's also claimed the overall grand prize in the 2004 USA Songwriting Competition. Patrice spent the Summer of 2006 in Hollywood competing on CBS's top Summer program, Rockstar Supernova. Out of 20,000 original applicants, Patrice landed the top-7 spot. Pike has long enjoyed a following extending back to her days as front woman for the band Sister 7, which spent the 90s charting a couple of Billboard hits and touring with the likes of Dave Matthews Band, John Fogerty and Lilith Fair (featuring Sarah McLachlan and Natalie Merchant). |
